Chef's Restaurant Halfway between Blois and Cheverny, this Vieille Tour stands proudly in the middle of the small village. Its name recalls the 15th-century building that houses the restaurant run since 2016 by Alexis and Alice Letellier. Alexis, originally from Nantes, offers modern, committed cuisine on a relatively short, but regularly renewed menu. You'll appreciate the choice of ingredients and the right seasonings, as in the case of the slightly fashionable but very successful starter of salmon, avocado, mango and combawa, and the dedicated marriage of morel mushroom asparagus and yellow wine on a remarkable turbot, before a good, original dessert of white asparagus, Sologne strawberries and curry. Alice, a trained sommelier, accompanies the meal with skill and a smile, finding the right vines and successful pairings through a fine wine list whose suggestions by the glass should be published. Two toques this year.
