Description
Sponsored Established 30 years ago in Strasbourg's city center, this restaurant is something of an institution. La Marseillaise, which takes its name from the French national anthem, was created just a stone's throw away, and offers its customers a warm welcome and the most pleasant service. But this is far from the only reason for the success of Nadia and Julien's restaurant. Many loyal customers come back again and again to enjoy the flavors of their home-cooked local cuisine, featuring a number of Alsatian specialties. Everything is prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu includes bouchées à la reine, roast horse beef, bibeleskaes with two hams and sautéed potatoes, caquelon of spaetzle and bacon au gratin with Munster cheese, sauerkraut with five meats... Enough to make your mouth water even before you sit down in the dining room or on the magnificent terrace at the back of the restaurant, calm and peaceful. La Marseillaise is definitely worth the detour.
