Gault&Millau's review 2025

One of Strasbourg's most emblematic landmarks, and one of the oldest too, since the original building (an inn) was erected in the 14th century. Now transformed into a luxury hotel, Maison Rouge boasts 131 rooms with a hushed atmosphere, plush carpets, deep armchairs, spacious bathrooms and sumptuous views of the cathedral. The lounges and dining room have retained an original mix of Art Deco pieces and traditional Alsatian architecture, as has the bar-restaurant Le 1387, which treats guests to fresh local cuisine. A 150 m2 marble spa with hammam, sauna and jacuzzi completes the offer of this haven (member of the Autograph Collection), ideal for discovering the capital of Europe.
