Chef's Restaurant Léonor is more than a restaurant, it's a place to live. All day long, the people of Strasbourg come here to enjoy the bar, the lounges and, of course, the table, to share and exchange ideas, or simply to "chill out" in the magnificent planted courtyard. And yet, this former police station wasn't necessarily a place for mischief... a nod to this history remains here, in the menu served all day long: the "hot dog from the Hôtel de Police", served alongside avocado cream, is a real treat! Jean-Philippe Nuel's decor is urban and chic, a lesson in style that carries over to the plate. Axelle and Mathias Stelster share the stoves here... solidly supported by Nicolas Stamm and Serge Schall. With great subtlety, we find references to the Fourchette des Ducs, with this tartare of Alsatian trout and espuma with bibeleskäs, or magnificent sharing dishes: a sea bass served whole with early vegetables and gremolata, or a pretty turbot, cauliflower, hazelnut butter and chin lemon, an excellent risotto with Jerusalem artichokes and artichokes. Marcel Pignolet's desserts are gourmet, but a little classic: Léonor's chocolate praline, a rum and citrus baba, or the mille-feuille monté minute, with toasted vanilla, caramel and puffed buckwheat. You can also choose from the desserts in the window to extend your afternoon, at a very gourmet tea-time (which doesn't sell out at weekends).
