Gault&Millau's review 2026

7,000 years ago, obélias was born from the combination of flour, milk and honey, baked in the sun on stones, creating the very first cake. Inspired by this tradition, Guilhem in the dining room and Léonie in the kitchen have made it the signature appetizer of this eponymous establishment in Naucelles. The young couple demonstrate their technical know-how with dishes such as the variation of beet in several textures, which can be found under a perfectly cooked raviole or as an accompanying sorbet. Then there's the kombucha-marinated shrimp, Japanese barbecued cuttlefish accompanied by shrimp bisque with curry paste, a masterful sauce. The light dessert of lime, kiwi melissa pandan and meadowsweet is prepared by Léonie and concludes a meal in a refined, modern setting. The pace of service could be quicker, and the wine list, limited to around fifty references, half of them local, could be expanded a little.
