Gourmet Restaurant Claiming the suburbs as his favorite territory for expression, Norbert Tarayre set up his team in the calm and quiet, a stone's throw from Mont Valérien, in a former factory clad all in brick and metal framework. The place has been given a brilliant facelift, taking advantage of the building's 19th-century soul and modernizing it with geometric wood cladding, flashy yellow and blue velvet fabrics and well-thought-out lighting, in an elegant and enthusiastic atmosphere. Climb the stairs to discover the room bathed in an almost hypnotic light from the monumental bay window overlooking La Défense and the family homes of upper Suresnes. Executives on a lunch break, families on a fancy lunch or young couples all come together here in appreciable simplicity. On the plate, even if the à la carte prices are a little too steep, the tastings testify to a fine technical mastery. Yoanne Flament and Matthias Dru-Bathilde distill their creativity into classic bistro-style dishes. The result is a gourmet dish, such as grilled cod with butter and Jerusalem artichokes, combined with the iodized notes of snacked cockles and marinière-style emulsion. Mention of "excellence" for this Parisian caramel flan on a shortbread base with a runny caramel heart. Cellar to be perfected and expanded.
