Gault&Millau's review 2025

A piece of Paris history. Molitor was the capital's busiest swimming pool for sixty years, inaugurated in 1929 by Johnny Weissmuller - Tarzan on screen and Olympic swimming champion. Closed in 1989, this unique venue was listed as a historic monument in 1990 before being abandoned, becoming the ground of expression for Parisian graffiti artists. It wasn't until 2014 that the place was brought back to life, restored with the utmost respect for its Art Deco architecture. Behind its mythical yellow facades now opens a 5-star hotel with a sumptuous 1,600 m2 Clarins spa, a rooftop bar-restaurant, an urban brasserie and, of course, those famous pools now reserved for hotel guests. A 33 m-long winter pool and a 46 m-long summer pool (heated all year round), surrounded by 124 rooms and suites featuring minimalist design by Jean-Philippe Nuel. A luxurious, old-fashioned liner atmosphere, making Molitor the ideal place to recharge your batteries in the capital.
