Gourmet Restaurant A new table to watch in the Chambéry landscape, that of Océane and Nicolas, who are taking up the challenge after "Onze Grandes...", the much-loved bistro of yesteryear. The menu is deliberately short, and the young chef shows a definite savoir-faire, with a hint of ingenuity that's not unwelcome: roasted scallops with parsnip cream, apple and cider emulsion, Charolais beef chuck braised with salsify in two ways and red wine sauce, gingerbread and watercress pear. The toque is holding its own, while we wait for better, gaining in confidence and personality. The €49 menu sweeps up the menu, and the cellar is being built up.
