Chef's Restaurant In an unassuming street, Alain Zinsmeister and his wife Anne-Marie ride the headwinds of modernity, like sailors accustomed to stormy seas. Through 25 years' experience, they have built up an identity and a mastery of products that spare them from submission to random trends, preferring seasons and sure values as their guide. Short and always adapted to the circumstances, the menu evokes a bourgeois cuisine that changes with the year, in tune with the changing weather: for sunny days on the terrace, piquillos with goat's cheese and eggplant caviar, veal carpaccio, whiting with a pretty ratatouille as in Provence, Aveyron veal with an elegant sage jus, a refreshing mint crème brûlée. The wine list is well worth the detour, with its 350 references and highly specialized selections, particularly from Alsace.
