Ducasse at the Château de Versailles and all is said... It's a bit like the return of the Sun King to his setting, here at the Pavillon Dufour, for a dinner appropriate to the nobility of the place. Commoners can come and feast on a menu-card with a wide choice, at €55 for the complete sequence starter - "röst" - "délice": cookpot of pot-au-feu vegetables, potato herring, guinea fowl supreme with root vegetables and chestnuts in a dolce forte sauce... If the content is a little less princely than expected, the execution is meticulous and the sweet coffee vanilla soufflé is well worth the small €2 supplement. Suitable classic cellar, trade and major chains.
