Gault&Millau's review 2025

In the heart of Jouy-en-Josas and not far from the Musée de la Toile de Jouy, this new refuge has been fitted out in the former Domaine du Montcel (birthplace of the Oberkampf family in the XVIIIᵉ), which later housed the Fondation Cartier. It now features 178 rooms, suites and apartments, faithful to the spirit of the place with their antique parquet floors and walls decorated with the famous toile de Jouy. The same atmosphere can be found in the La Toile restaurant and the Bar du Montcel, which open onto the magnificent Parc de 14h, with its English-style garden and scattered works of art (by Arman or Louise Friedman). Equally refined, the wellness area features a fitness room, treatment rooms and an indoor pool that extends into a beautiful outdoor pool. A true country spirit just a stone's throw from Paris.
