Gourmet Restaurant Richard Cornet's bonhomie and handsome beard have made him a fixture on the local scene, offering both good humor and simple pleasures. His table, located on the Place Dulcie-September, has quickly established itself as the canteen of choice for nearby offices. The lunch menu is very attractive (€21 or €26), and perfectly meets demand with a range of rather contemporary seasonal dishes, including fashionable products such as Colonnata bacon in a split pea velouté, fregola sarda to accompany fish, a low-calorie poultry dish with rice and blond sauce, and a coconut-lemon dessert that doesn't announce its soft chocolate. Wines by the glass are fairly well chosen: we'll take refuge in the local vintages, the muscadet from Jo Landron, the coteaux-du-layon from Pierre Chauvin. In the evening, a 5-course menu is available at €55.
