Remarkable Restaurant We must pay tribute to Dan Bessoudo, who for twenty years has kept alive a fine restaurant in such a small village. But passion wins out, and visitors are delighted. The house is beautiful, with its old stones in a tastefully renovated setting, and the windows open onto a grandiose landscape, all the way to the Etang de Berre. Of course, a few acrobatics and concessions have to be made to maintain a high standard, reducing the menu (a single dessert each season, for example), highlighting a few noble products (foie gras, caviar, Miéral guinea fowl...) or products from outside the region (sole, lean meat...) and adjusting prices that are high enough to live on year-round. So thank you and hats off for a €87 menu that's certainly not cheap, but which gave us some good sensations, right from the personalized appetizers (Tarbouriech oyster and carrot, tourteau rillettes, aioli, lean tartar) with the very well-cooked sole and bear garlic artichoke, which followed a more innocuous asparagus and herring starter. Pleasant dessert of rice pudding with local strawberries and Bonnieux honey. Cellar not huge, but good references, in the region (Cibonne, Beaupré) or in Languedoc for example (Père Benoît, Clos Maïa, Gayda...) with a good choice by the glass.
