Gourmet Restaurant Widely acclaimed as one of the Principality's finest, this centrally located restaurant has remained unchanged for sixty years, while the commercial frenzy of Les Escaldes has largely disrupted the immediate environment. Inside, the same serene ambience, the kitchen visible at the back of the room, for an expected recital: tuna ventrèche carpaccio, good poultry cannelloni, porcini mushrooms and truffle with a generous béchamel sauce, moist shoulder of venison cooked at low temperature and well seasoned, beautiful Galician entrecôte. The side dishes are more basic (fries with the meat), the desserts sweet (tiramisu, deconstructed lemon tart...), and the service is indeed one of the best in town, attentive and with good advice, especially on the very extensive Spanish wine cellar.
