Chef's Restaurant Just a stone's throw from the medieval gateway to this very pretty village, Alexandre Goniak and Gerie Jenner offer a distinguished dining experience based on seasonal produce. The lunch menu, still priced at €28, is a real bargain, while the two evening menus, just as hidden as the first, have risen slightly (€50 for 4 courses, €60 for 6 courses): au printemps, tourte végétale, pollack with artichokes in textures (purée and barigoule), Gers peas with wasabi, or pigeon marinated with cherry roasted and served with burnt onion purée, cannelloni of pigeon legs confit and cabbage tombée, strawberries and rhubarb crème diplomate verbena for dessert. Large Bordeaux cellar (pairing at €8 a glass), competent and pleasant service. A nice little touch is the complimentary filtered water (sparkling or still).
