Anne-Sophie PIC
Chef : 2 restaurantsEveryone knows the story of Anne-Sophie Pic, at least in outline. It's the story of a brilliant cook, now one of the two or three most famous female chefs in the world, who wasn't destined for the kitchen, but whose life's ups and downs, and her refusal to see the mythical family home lose any of its aura, led her to embark on this adventure.
Daughter of Jacques Pic, granddaughter of André Pic, this is undoubtedly a heavy heritage to bear, necessarily intimidating when you're a young chef, and even more so when you're a cook. Fear of disappointment, of not living up to expectations, of being unwelcome, would all have held the young woman back when, in the mid-90s, she finally decided to follow in her father's footsteps.
Anne-Sophie Pic gradually moved up the ladder, making her mark, gradually imposing her culinary style and, with the wise support of her husband David Sinapian, modernizing the house whose spirit she had always wanted to preserve, the spirit instilled by her father and grandfather. The spirit of a luxurious but never intimidating home, of a cuisine that is both gourmet and avant-garde, imagined by a woman who never forgets to visit the dining room after service, listening attentively to each customer and each testimonial.
