Inside Krug's Kitchen, the gastronomic event that brings together 10 exceptional chefs

Inside Krug's Kitchen, the gastronomic event that brings together 10 exceptional chefs

Mathieu Dubus | 7/30/24, 4:41 PM

Every year for the past 10 years, Krug has chosen a product to create a recipe, imagined by a top chef. For the tenth anniversary, ten chefs have come together for a high-flying event.

Imagine a culinary experience created by ten of the world's greatest chefs, between fine bubbles and haute cuisine. That's what Krug has set itself with Inside Krug's Kitchen. The Champagne house, founded in 1843 in the city of kings, has as its guiding principle excellence and respect for the smallest detail. It's a vision shared by ten top chefs from all over the world.

A 20-hand experience

From September 23 to 30, 2024, three Inside Krug's Kitchen experiences will be offered at dinner to honor the House's emblematic cuvées: Krug Grande Cuvée and Krug Rosé. The first is the "Découverte", composed of two cuvées and two dishes for a price of 125 euros. Next, the offer is more akin to a typical restaurant menu, with "Exploration" comprising four cuvées and four courses, priced at 225 euros. Finally, the ultimate experience, "Immersion", plunges you into the world of five cuvées and 10 courses. It costs 650 euros. Details of the dishes concocted by the chefs are not yet known. As for the bubbles, the different cuvées will be served in three different formats: bottle, magnum and jeroboam.

Ten years of product challenge

Anne-Sophie Pic, Hélène Darroze, Arnaud Lallement, William Bradley, Enrico Bartolini, Jan Hartwig, Guillaume Galliot, Hiroyuki Kanda, Jérôme Banctel, Esben Holmboe Bang will create a recipe around one of Krug's 10 unique ingredients. A total of ten chefs have signed up, from the United States to Northern and Southern Europe, from Norway to Italy, from Asia to Hong Kong and Japan. Anne-Sophie Pic will be in charge of the first tomato creation. Others, like Arnaud Lallement, will be playing with lemons. "It's my favorite citrus fruit! With my signature dessert, I wanted to highlight this unique ingredient visually and aromatically".
Only 16 places per experience will be available for reservation, so don't delay!

Rhubarb emerges from the shadows

The queen of rustic pies and crumbles, rhubarb is best enjoyed as a fruit, whereas it is a vegetable. This original plant leaves behind its old-fashioned trappings to spice up the most creative dishes and awaken both sweet and savory palates. One of the first spring vegetables, but the most recent to hit our plates, it's making a name for itself time and time again.
