Here is Cyril Lignac's new project in Paris
Another adventure for Cyril Lignac! The chef has just quietly announced the opening of a new restaurant, which is set to open in November 2026.
The year 2026 is definitely going to be a busy one for Cyril Lignac. The chef, pastry chef, and chocolatier—who has just taken over as head chef at the legendary Lucas Carton—has quietly announced the launch of a new project. By November, the star of the M6 Group’s cooking shows will open Moko, a coffee shop located at 25 rue de Chanzy in Paris’s11th arrondissement.
Chocolate at the Heart of the Project
What concept lies behind this announcement? How will this future establishment differ from his existing chocolate shops? For now, Cyril Lignac is keeping some of the details under wraps. A few photos, shared on Instagram and Facebook, suggest that chocolate will take center stage at this new kind of coffee shop. Marshmallow bears—one of the chef’s signature treats—as well as a marble cake and jars of spreads take pride of place on the counter. Since Moko is billed as a future coffee shop, it’s also a safe bet that the spot will offer a variety of homemade hot beverages… It remains to be seen which ones!
A Year Full of Projects
At 48, Cyril Lignac is still on the hunt for new projects. In addition to his many pastry shops and chocolate boutiques—located in Paris as well as in Saint-Tropez and Serris, in Seine-et-Marne—the chef’s empire includes several restaurants such as Aux Prés (1 toque), Le Chardenoux (1 toque), La Salle à Manger, and Le Bar—all in the capital—as well as Bar des Prés in Paris, London, Dubai, and even Saint Barthélemy. In September, the legendary Lucas Carton also announced that it was handing the reins of its kitchens over to Cyril Lignac. This is a major challenge for the chef, who is thus returning to the upper echelons of French gastronomy a few years after closing his restaurant Le Quinzième. In June, the chef also announced a change of direction for his restaurant Dragon, which is now dedicated to Japanese hand rolls. It remains to be seen whether Cyril Lignac will still have some time to delight viewers during the holidays with his show *Tous en cuisine* on M6.
