Starting in 2000, he gained experience at a series of restaurants: L’Arpège in Paris, Le Jardin des Sens in Montpellier, then La Compagnie des Comptoirs and La Maison Blanche, both in Paris. Never forgetting his love for pastry, the young Lignac also honed his skills alongside Pierre Hermé, then withAlain Ducasse at La Grande Cascade.

His TV Debut

In 2005, he was hired by David and Cathy Guetta to run the kitchen at their restaurant, La Suite. His career took a turn when television producer Bibiane Godfroid persuaded him to appear on the TV show *Oui chef!*, broadcast on M6. It was an instant success. Following the show’s conclusion, he opened his first restaurant in Paris.

From then on, Cyril Lignac became the most media-friendly chef on French television: *Top Chef* in 2010, *Le meilleur pâtissier* in 2012, and *Tous en cuisine* in 2020. He also appeared on cooking shows on M6 such as *Le chef contre-attaque*, *Les Rois du gâteau *, and *Ma recette est la meilleure de France*.
