This Monday, October 7, 2024, at the Atelier du Goût, Gault&Millau unveiled the list of four nominees for the title of Chef of the Year 2025. Here are their names.
What does it mean to be Chef of the Year? "It's the culmination of a career, and we believe that the chef is at the peak of his or her art, and that all the conditions have been met to distinguish him or her that year," explains Marc Esquerré, Director of Surveys at Gault&Millau. We remember Yannick Alléno in 2015 and Arnaud Donckele in 2020. Who will succeed the great names who have already held the title? The nominees were announced this Monday, October 7, 2024, at the Atelier du Goût in Paris.
Four great names in French gastronomy

Glenn Viel has been working at Baumanière for 10 years, Frédéric Anton for 27 years in Paris, Jacques Marcon for 20 years at Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid and Nicolas Masse for 14 years in Bordeaux. "Four great chefs, four great experiences. Unique moments for our interviewers and ourselves. When we visit your homes, something happens. These houses, which are myths today, owe their reputations to everything you do", added the director of investigations. Which of these great chefs will take home the trophy for Chef of the Year 2025? Answer at the awards ceremony on November 18, 2024.
