Pastry Chef of the Year 2025:
This Monday, October 7, 2024, Gault&Millau unveiled the list of four nominees for the title of Pastry Chef of the Year 2025. Here are their names.
To become Pâtissier de l'Année, "that's something of an annual feat", says Marc Esquerré, Director of Surveys at Gault&Millau. "It's someone whose home the investigators have already been to two or three times, and conclude on each visit that the most amazing thing about this table is the pastry."Who will succeed Narae Kim, Pastry Chef of the Year 2025? Here are the names revealed at the announcement evening this Monday, October 7, 2024 at the Atelier du Goût in Paris.
Four pastry chefs from the four corners of France
Gault&Millau has just announced the four pastry chefs who will compete for the title of Pâtissier de l'Année. The lucky winners include :
- Michael Bartocetti of the Four Seasons Hôtel George V in Paris
- Pierre-Jean Quinonero of the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
- Sébastien Nabaile of La Table de Pavie - Hôtel de Pavie, Saint-Emilion
- Patrice Ibarboure of La Table des Frères Ibarboure in Bidart
"Their career path is exemplary. Well done to all four of them, because each of you has your own specificity. You have what makes the main quality of a great pastry chef: it's both to accompany the chef's work and to develop your own personality." said Marc Esquerré at the announcement before adding"I can tell you a little confidence: all four of them, the survey reports say that the pastry is exceptional."
