The 1998 from Villers-Marmery reveals a golden color with microscopic bubbles. The nose is superbly balanced, with notes of toast, very ripe yellow fruit, hints of mousseron and the pebbles (flint) typical of the village. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and distinguished, with an extra-fine mousse and a perfectly fresh finish. This great champagne is simply delicious with roast poultry.
