Pierre Moncuit
The house dates back to the 19th century and has been vinifying its own wines since 1929. Led by Nicole Moncuit, her brother Yves and daughter Valérie, the house continues to produce champagnes characterized by the freshness and breed of the Mesnil-sur-Oger grand cru. The 20-hectare vineyard is planted exclusively with Chardonnay. The various cuvées are therefore Blanc de Blancs, with the obvious exception of the Brut Rosé, 20% Pinot Noir. Here, freshness, fine bubbles, subtle fruitiness and floral notes are never overly austere. Since 2016, the house has been isolating juices from a clos in the village of Vertus, which we can't wait to taste.
