Under the name Pannier, you'll find a winery with some 400 cooperative members and 720 hectares. The cuvées age slowly in 12th-century medieval cellars, whose stones were once used to build the monuments of the town of Château-Thierry. The brand is, in a way, the emblem of Aisne wines, with a dominant Pinot Meunier component in the blends, giving the wines a pronounced fruitiness and gourmet drinkability. A wide range is available here, including a few rarities such as "Rosé Velours", a rosé cuvée dosed dry, i.e. quite sweet. Don't miss a tour of the house's historic cellars.
