La COVOMA, ou cave coopérative vinicole de la vallée de la Marne, est propriétaire de Jacquart, Montaudon et de la marque de champagne Pannier. Pannier est un peu l’emblème des vins de l’Aisne, avec une dominante de pinot meunier dans les assemblages qui apporte aux vins un fruit prononcé et une buvabilité gourmande. On trouve ici une large gamme, dont quelques raretés, comme ce « Rosé Velours », une cuvée de rosé dosée en sec, c’est-à-dire assez sucrée. Les cuvées vieillissent lentement au cœur de caves médiévales du XIIe siècle, dont les pierres ont autrefois servi à la construction des monuments de la ville de Château-Thierry. La maison propose une visite de ses caves historiques.
