A little tight, the nose is initially discreet and fresh, before aromas of English candy and toast appear, followed by fresh fruit and a pinch of pepper. On the palate, the wine is pleasantly acidic but not excessively so, thanks to its fine bubbles. The velvety texture and a hint of toast could suggest dosage - which is not the case - an impression contradicted by the acidity on the finish.
