This ratafia is made with a base of fine eaux de vie. Its bright, light rust color invites a stilted, expressive nose. Candied sloe, cherry brandy, candied orange zest and a myriad of fruits express themselves with deliquescence. The palate is greedy and slightly acerbic. It's a wine to be savored at your leisure. Ideal as an aperitif or with pastries.

In Reuil, in the Marne valley, Fabien and Cécile Clément have run this family estate for over fifty years and three generations. All three of Champagne's great grape varieties are grown here, giving rise to blended cuvées, some of which feature a majority of Pinot Meunier. The "Les Regards" cuvée is a pure meunier. No fewer than 36 parcels give rise to a range of seven champagnes, now available online on the domaine's website.
