Juicy fruits (pear, quetsche) combine with fresh notes of candied citrus (lemon, bitter orange), while delicate floral scents (wisteria, lily, jasmine) add a touch of suavity to the nose. On the palate, the bubbles are certainly a little present, but they accompany a pure material, with controlled acidity right through to the finish. Pleasant little bitters make the palate salivate, and a touch of saltiness finishes it off. Superb value for money, refreshing with character.

In Reuil, in the Marne valley, Fabien and Cécile Clément have run this family estate for over fifty years and three generations. All three of Champagne's great grape varieties are grown here, giving rise to blended cuvées, some with a majority of Pinot Meunier. The "Les Regards" cuvée is a pure meunier. No fewer than 36 parcels spread over 9 ha give rise to a range of seven champagnes, now available online on the domaine's website.
