The nose is delicate and floral, evoking a spring bouquet with aromas of iris, hawthorn flowers and a touch of freshly wet grass. The palate is less shy, with a chiselled texture and a sharper acid framework, controlled by the dosage. It retains the freshness of a fine blanc de blancs, with a slight patina of sugar. The slight bitterness on the finish is a welcome boost.

The Diebolt family has been established in Cramant since the late 19th century. Today, Jacques Diebolt manages this 14-hectare estate, with a majority of Chardonnay from Cramant, Cuis and Chouilly. Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier come from parcels on the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Bar. With a low dosage, the house style is characterized by a creamy texture while remaining very Cramant. Rightly regarded as one of the benchmark estates, we highly recommend tasting these bottles.
