The color is still very light and the bubbles lively for this grand cru, with a chalky nose right from the start, with no hint of vanilla or dried fruit. Toasty notes follow. On the palate, the wine plunges into limestone, with a slightly watery mid-palate, but with real length. Slowly evolving, this wine will remain delicious for many years.

Diebolt-Vallois

The Diebolt family has been based in Cramant since the late 19th century. In 1978, the Diebolt-Vallois estate was founded by Jacques Diebolt and Nadia Vallois. Following in the footsteps of their children, Arnaud and Isabelle, their grandchildren, Ophélie and Philippine, have been managing this 15-hectare estate—planted primarily with Chardonnay in Cramant, Cuis, and Chouilly—since 2016. The Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes come from plots on the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Bar. With a low dosage, the house style is characterized by a creamy texture while remaining distinctly Cramant.
