Gault&Millau's review
Jerôme Coessens' family has been owning vines for six generations in Ville-sur-Arce, in the Côte des Bar. Nevertheless, he decided to create his own path in 2006 by creating his own Champagne house. He has a good knowkedge of this profession as he had previously worked for seven years as a crop manager in a large group in Champagne. The vineyard is consituted of a single plot called Largillier; its soil is made of clay and limestone and exclusively grows Pinot Noir. Jérôme and his wife created six cuvées by playing with the differences of soil within the plot itself. Their cuvées encompass a unique quest for the terroir and their first admirer is none other than Guillaume Selosse.
