Coessens
Jérôme Coessens took over the family vineyard near Ville-sur-Arce, on the Côte des Bar, and launched his own brand in 2006. Joined by his wife, Valérie, two years later, they cultivate a large, contiguous plot of Pinot Noir—Largillier—on clay-limestone soil. They produce six cuvées and two Coteaux Champenois wines by capitalizing on the variations in soil within the plot itself. This pursuit of a unique terroir has found its foremost admirer in none other than Guillaume Selosse. Since then, their son Grégoire has joined them, and they are now producing a new cuvée from vines in Les Riceys.
