Description
Sponsored Born in the United States, Ian Mengedoht has put his eleven years of experience in French gourmet restaurants to work on a dream: to rediscover the traditional Mexican cuisine he loves. He started his food-truck in 2016, crisscrossing the Vannes area to offer tacos, burritos and quesadillas with the utmost respect for tradition. "There's a great richness in Mexican cuisine, but I also like to incorporate flavors from around the world," says the Chef, who is also a market gardener. The vegetables for Street Burritos come from a half-hectare of "No-Till" cultivation that Ian looks after when he's not cooking: lettuces, tomatoes, epazote, spinach, chillies, tomatillos, old-fashioned corn "On living soil, without any treatment", he points out. From Beefy (beef, smoked bacon, mushrooms, rice, cheese, salad) to Bangkok (confit Breton pig, snacked a la plancha with honey, soy sauce and peanuts), with more than seven homemade sauces, Ian regularly varies his recipes; including his cookies, brownies or cheesecakes, also homemade. Street Burritos also offers catering services for a buffet or menu, tailor-made for each event.
