Gourmet Restaurant Yohann and Bénédicte Vandriessche have found their place in the sun, on the most modern part of Le Lavandou harbor. The location, and the venue - a contemporary building with a clean, uncluttered feel - are assets that have been put to good use. After a successful first season, it's time to give this restaurant a real soul, just as they once did with their Arbre ch'ti in Gruson. In the kitchen, there's quality and a touch of sophistication, perhaps a little out of place in this holiday atmosphere, with evocations of the mother country with the revisited welsh, old mimolette puffed rice, just-seared langoustines with octopus salad and citrus vinaigrette, or the perfect egg with grey shrimps and pea espuma. The menus are well-priced, and the cellar is already extensive and fairly classic.
