Gourmet Restaurant Despite the renovation work, rue Porta is still a gourmet thoroughfare, with its pretty patisserie and this new address, which we've seen packed to the rafters. It has to be said that the house brings a breath of fresh air to a town that is legitimately attached to regional traditions. Amapola is moving forward in a very contemporary setting, pocket-sized (maximum 15 seats), with vintage granito, blue-green and light wood, an open kitchen and minimal decoration, a few flowers and cushions. On the plate, the team's cooking is in tune with the times, with weekly ideas that reflect creativity and technique, and slash dishes such as hot fennel feta & kumquat, olive caramel spicy sauce, fish ceviche with orange supremes, tiger leche with carrot juice, black radish labne with coriander microgreens, banoffee with cardamom milk jam and fleur de sel, banana brûlée with mascarpone and herbaceous gel. A good regional cellar with a focus on natural wines.
