Winemaker Jean-Baptiste Granier was doing an internship with Olivier Jullien when he noticed the untapped potential of the vines located at altitude (350m), on the schist and sandstone soils surrounding Saint-Privat, in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac. The vines were producing some very fine grapes, but were about to be abandoned, when the two men decided in 2007 to take them over, work them organically and create an estate: Les Vignes Oubliées.
