Description

Emmanuel Brochet was established in 1997, cultivating a unique vineyard of about 2.5 hectares of Premier Cru classified vines located west of the Montagne de Reims (Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir). The limestone terroir and clay-loam soils give the wines volume and minerality. While the quantity of wines produced is not shared, the quality is remarkable.

Le Mont Benoît

Type Extra brut
Millesime BSA
Title Champagne
Région Champagne
Colour Effervescent blanc
Gault&Millau recenzija
Lovely aromas of pear and fresh fruit are complemented by notes of fine oxidation such as cashew nuts on the nose of this cuvée made of 70% reserve wines kept in perpetual reserve. Despite a zero dosage, the ample mouth offers a gourmand sensation of sweetness. A cult wine of great beauty to drink with friends.

Le Mont Benoît

Gault&Millau recenzija

Type extra-brut
Millesime 2014
Colour Effervescent blanc
Gault&Millau recenzija
Made from old vines from 1962, this champagne offers light boulangerie notes and a full basket of white fruits that makes it complex from the start. The round, suave, and vibrant palate offers good length with an almost smoky side and chalky powdery finish. We dream of a beautiful sea bass in the oven to accompany it.

Haut Chardonnay

Type extra-brut
Millesime BSA
Colour Effervescent blanc
Gault&Millau recenzija
This pure Chardonnay offers a complex nose, mellowed by a buttery side, with notes of candied and roasted fruit, citrus fruits, candied bitter orange, and just a touch of vanilla. On the palate, it is the exotic side of Chardonnay that emerges with white pineapple in particular. This champagne with no dosage has beautiful final freshness which should be drunk with relish. Open it to enjoy by itself or to accompany a fish of choice such as John Dory.

Rosé de Saignée

Type extra-brut
Millesime BSA
Colour Effervescent rosé de saignée
Gault&Millau recenzija
From the 2018 harvest, this rosé, although a saignée, presents a fairly light coloured robe, slightly bricked. The nose develops notes of crushed red fruits, wild strawberries and a slightly spicy and woody touch. The mouth is mid weight, offering a larder side which seems particularly suitable for fine Asian cuisine.
