Présentation du domaine par Gault&Millau
Xavier Alexandre exploite un vignoble familial de 8 ha, répartis dans onze communes de la Marne dont cinq sont classées premier cru. Vigneron indépendant, il est installé à Courmas, joli village de la montagne de Reims où le meunier est roi. Ce dernier représente d’ailleurs la moitié des vignes plantées du domaine. Les raisins meunier, pinot noir et chardonnay sont minutieusement sélectionnés et récoltés à maturité optimale. Le choix d’une vinification parcellaire en fermentation malolactique partielle permet à Xavier Alexandre de créer des champagnes exprimant au mieux la typicité de chaque terroir.
