This other blanc de blancs in the range, different from Perrières, is also devilishly good. While notes of wood ageing also appear on the first nose, the wine then opens up with notes of smoke, ripe but not stewed yellow fruit, almond and then cardamom, and proves immensely complex with aeration. With great maturity but no heaviness, this great champagne offers volume and power on the palate, with rare distinction. This cuvée is just right, right down to its superb sapidity on the finish. Grandiose!
