2006 delivered plenty of deliciousness and roundness, but many wines quickly tired. Rare 2006 is an exception to the rule, offering a full, charming and perfectly accomplished champagne in today's magnum format. It delivers true and complete generosity with an uncommon roundness, but retains the freshness of the Champagne region's beautiful bitter finish. A perfect match for a Breton lobster or a leg of lamb.

Rare Champagne

Fifty years ago, Rare Champagne was launched in Reims and was long considered the jewel in Piper-Heidsieck’s crown before becoming a brand in its own right. One of its distinctive features? Rare and limited-edition releases, depending on weather conditions and the quality of the grapes. As a result, in 50 years, only about fifteen vintages have been released—always in limited quantities and in bottles designed by renowned artists. While the bottle catches the eye, the contents reflect the masterful blending—primarily featuring Chardonnay from the Montagne de Reims, complemented by Pinot Noir.
