Gault&Millau's review 2025
Slightly reduced on first contact, this champagne reveals aromatic treasures on aeration, with notes of undergrowth, toast, white fruit and spices in a remarkably elegant bouquet. The palate is enlivened by delicate yet dynamic bubbles that awaken a refined substance. Freshness is well in place, perfectly balanced by the dosage. A powerful wine, but very polished before a saline, very salivating finish. Class without showiness. Very long, persistent chalky finish.

Rare Champagne
Rare Champagne
The origins of Rare Champagne go back to a tribute to Queen Marie-Antoinette. This is undoubtedly the source of its revolutionary spirit, which fights against the trivialization of vintages. Over the last forty years, the house has only declared fourteen vintages. Régis Camus has entrusted Émilien Boutillat, the new cellar master, with the perpetuation of the savoir-faire and the signature of the wine. The latter, who has won the most awards in the world in his speciality, has put his stamp on the house, selecting singular, atypical years, where nature has been tamed, where time and expertise reveal exceptional champagnes. The tiara on the bottle, designed by Arthus Bertrand, depicts the triumphant vine dominating the vagaries of time. Rare Champagne offers wines of patience, with unlimited potential for expression. Time is no longer an obstacle, but a benefit that enhances the personality of each vintage.
