Tiny, fine bubbles flow through a clear, translucent wine. On the nose, the champagne is frank, straightforward and pure, but a little less savory and accomplished than the Clos Virgile 2013. On the palate, the wine is racy and taut, with a very long finish. This champagne is extraordinarily young. We recommend waiting before popping the cork.

This family estate covers 3 hectares and gathers the vines of the Portier and Malot families. The brand is made up of the names of the grandfathers: Paul and Sadi. Jérôme Portier is in charge of the estate. The Pinots Noirs are from Verzy and Beaumont (classified Grands Crus) and the Chardonnays come from the beautiful terroir of Villers-Marmery. The estate also has a small 24-hectare clos called Clos Virgile. In the cellar, depending on the vintage, the aging takes place in stainless steel vats, barrels or casks.
