Lilbert-Fils

Lilbert-Fils - Brut
91 / 100 Champagne
Vintage : BSA
Type : Extra-brut
Classification : Grand cru
Color :
Effervescent blanc
Budget : 25€ to 45€
Gault&Millau's review 2023
This cuvée is a blend of 50% 2017 vintage and the rest reserve wines from the Chardonnay vines of three grands crus: Cramant, Oiry and Chouilly. Add a three-year ageing period in the cellar, and the result is a wine with a golden color, green highlights and a creamy mousse when served. The nose is fine, with aromas of candied angelica, grapefruit and lemon, white flowers and a hint of white mint for added freshness. The palate is supple and fruity, with rare but sufficient bubbles to provide a thirst-quenching effect. A typical aperitif wine.

Lilbert-Fils
Lilbert-Fils
The family has been established for several generations in Cramant, a grand cru of the Côte des Blancs. The estate grows only Chardonnay on 3.5 ha. Lilbert-Fils is one of the benchmarks of the Cramant grand cru, producing wines with strong minerality, very upright and structured, bordering on reduction. The average age of the vineyards here is around forty years. The "Perle" cuvée, produced from a special tirage that develops a smoother, less powerful mousse, is a must-taste.
