Gault&Millau's review
The family has been in the grand cru village of Cramant in the Côte des Blancs for several generations, today run by Bertrand who took over rom his father George in 2003. The estate is one hundred percent Chardonnay covering about 3.5 hectares. Lilbert-Fils is one of the great champagne references of Cramant grand cru, producing direct and structured wines with strong minerality, to the limit of reduction. The average vine age is 40 years, and some vines are considered very old.
