Gault&Millau's review
The brand, which bears the family name, dates back to 1906. But it was not until 1996 that René-James Lallier, the founder's grandson, gave it new impetus, before its acquisition by his consultant oenologist Francis Tribaut in 2004. Its reputation has grown exponentially. The vineyard covers 15 hectares planted exclusively with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the majority of which is classified as Grand Cru. This enables the estate to cover 40% of its supplies and produce a total of 400,000 bottles a year. The wines are made with little or no dosage. Following Campari's takeover of the company, Dominique Demarville was appointed general manager and cellar master.
