The nose is exciting, with intensely fruity aromas of strawberry, burlat cherry and peppery spices that remain fresh. On the palate, the fruit is exuberant, reminiscent of blackcurrant, red berries and cherry. A bitter frame gives body and complexity to the material, before a very pleasant, taut finish. A wine that goes well with red meat.

Cyril Jeaunaux and his wife, Clémence, run a 10.25-hectare vineyard, half of which is planted with Meunier, spread across the Talus-Saint-Prix terroir, the slopes of the Petit-Morin, and a few plots near Bar-sur-Aube and in Chambrecy. The uniqueness of the Petit-Morin Valley terroir lies in its flint-rich clay and millstone soils, as well as in a cool microclimate influenced by the Petit-Morin River.
