Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
For decades, the Jean Vesselle vineyard consisted of just 15 hectares spread between Bouzy—a Grand Cru in the Montagne de Reims—and Loches-sur-Ource in the Aube department. Pinot Noir was therefore the star of this family-run estate. Today, the vineyard owned by Delphine and David Vesselle—recently joined by their son Lucas—has expanded to 17 hectares thanks to the addition of 1.5 hectares of Chardonnay located in the famous town of Chouilly in the Côte des Blancs. While its range was previously dominated by 100% Pinot Noir cuvées, the estate now offers blends, including a non-dosage cuvée for connoisseurs of purity.
