J.M. Tissier
Since 1931, the Tissier family, originally from Chavot-Courcourt—a town located on the southern slopes of Épernay—has been cultivating vineyards. Certified HVE and VDC for nearly 10 years, they use neither herbicides nor insecticides on their 6-hectare estate. The vineyard’s grape varieties consist of 40% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Meunier, and 20% Pinot Noir. Wine is made in tanks, but also partly in barrels, depending on the cuvée. Jacques and Marie-Christine now run the estate, assisted by their son Anthony, who was named “Young Talent of Champagne” in 2021.
