Since 1976, Guy and Colette Larmandier have been based in Vertus, a village on the edge of the Côte des Blancs. On some 7 ha, their son François, with his sister Marie-Hélène who helps him manage the estate, produces very fine, racy and regular blanc de blancs. As harvesters and handlers, the Larmandiers grow and vinify only their own grapes. The vineyards extend over the Grand Crus of Chouilly and Cramant (the family's historic birthplace), as well as the Premier Crus of Vertus and Cuis, mainly in Chardonnay. The estate also offers a rare "Vertus Rouge" in the Champagne hillsides and a prestige cuvée, "Signé François".
