Apple fruit, nectarine and the imprint of Pinot Meunier emerge from the first nose. This is followed by soft, milky aromas of fresh butter, cream and nonettes. Barrel vinification brings roundness and tactility to the palate. The dosage is carefully considered, and the wine's good-naturedness makes it a superb match for a bouchée à la reine with sweetbreads and green asparagus.
